Our Commitment
CannabisGrower.ai, operated by Flashpin Holdings B.V., is committed to making this website accessible to all users — including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target standard, and we actively work to improve our implementation over time.
We recognise that accessibility is not a checkbox — it is an ongoing responsibility. This statement is honest about where we are today: what we have built, what we know still needs work, and how you can reach us if something is not working for you.
What We Have Implemented
The following accessibility features are currently live on CannabisGrower.ai:
Keyboard Navigation
Visible focus indicators are applied globally across the site. When navigating with a keyboard, interactive elements display a clear green outline so you always know where your focus is. Focus rings are hidden for mouse users to avoid visual clutter — they only appear when needed.
Screen Reader Support
- All 12,000+ strain images carry descriptive
alttext in the format: "[Strain Name] by [Breeder], [Type] cannabis strain" — giving screen reader users meaningful context rather than placeholder text. - Breeder logo images use the breeder name as their
altattribute. - Decorative and overlay elements (such as backdrop overlays) are marked
aria-hidden="true"so screen readers skip them. - All interactive controls use correct semantic HTML elements: buttons are
<button>, links are<a>, and form inputs use standard HTML form elements throughout.
ARIA Attributes
- The mobile filter drawer is fully annotated:
role="dialog",aria-modal="true",aria-label="Filter strains". It can be closed via the Escape key. The open and close buttons carry descriptivearia-labelattributes. - Expandable text sections (show more / show less) use
aria-expandedto communicate their state to assistive technology.
Semantic Structure
The site is built on Next.js 14 with the App Router, using semantic HTML throughout — correct heading hierarchies, landmark regions, and proper list markup. This provides a solid structural foundation for screen readers and other assistive tools.
Forms
The Strain Finder wizard, email gate, contact form, and strain submission form all use standard, accessible HTML input elements with associated labels.
Known Limitations
We want to be transparent about areas that are not yet fully resolved:

We are actively working through this list. Accessibility improvements are part of our ongoing development roadmap.
Technical Approach
CannabisGrower.ai is built with:
- Next.js 14 (App Router) on Cloudflare Pages edge runtime
- Tailwind CSS for styling, with custom focus-visible utilities
- Standard semantic HTML5 throughout
No third-party accessibility overlay or widget is used — we believe accessibility should be built into the product, not patched on top of it.
Browser and Assistive Technology Compatibility
We aim for compatibility with the following combinations:
- NVDA + Chrome (Windows)
- JAWS + Chrome or Edge (Windows)
- VoiceOver + Safari (macOS and iOS)
- TalkBack + Chrome (Android)

If you encounter a barrier on this website — something that prevents you from accessing content or completing a task — we want to hear about it.

Formal Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility issue, you may contact your national accessibility enforcement body. For EU residents, Flashpin Holdings B.V. is registered in the Netherlands; the primary recourse for private-sector websites remains direct contact and, if unresolved, the Dutch courts.
Scope of This Statement
This statement covers the website at cannabisgrower.ai and its subdomains. It does not cover third-party websites linked from our platform (including seed bank retailers accessed via affiliate links), which are governed by their own accessibility policies.
Review Schedule
This statement was last reviewed on April 13, 2026. We will review and update it whenever significant changes are made to the site, and at minimum once per year.
