Blue Magoo's origins trace back to the 1990s, emerging from Oregon's respected cultivation community. This clone-exclusive cultivar results from crossing DJ Short Blueberry genetics with a William's Wonder F2 strain (alternatively called Major League Bud). The strain is frequently confused with "Blue Goo," a distinctly different variety. This cultivar produces compact flowering sites with moderate vertical growth characteristics for an indica-dominant plant. Its development pattern features branching that grows horizontally and resembles vines, generating heavy accumulations of crystalline, thick-textured flowers requiring structural support during growth—a characteristic inherited from its William's Wonder parentage. Cultivation in living soil supplemented with organic feeding regimens yields optimal results. The aromatic profile presents considerable complexity, featuring notes including berry, tropical and stone fruits, lavender, star anise, floral undertones, and woody incense qualities. Taste expression emphasizes berry and fruity characteristics, though improperly flushed specimens or those cultivated with synthetic inputs tend toward more prominent floral notes.
