Birds of Paradise is a hybrid that combines two distinct genetic lines. The female parent, Kali Snapple (a cross of Pineapple and Snowbud with pre-2000 Kali Mist genetics), passes down prominent tropical and fruity notes—particularly pineapple—complemented by underlying petrol and skunk characteristics. These maternal flavors remain prominent throughout the strain's profile. The male contributor, Blue Heron, introduces a rich aromatic complexity featuring blueberry, additional fruit notes, rose, and incense undertones. Beyond flavor, this paternal influence accelerates flowering duration and enhances resin production across the hybrid. Plants in this cross tend toward substantial size with striking colored flowers and a combined aroma palette of tropical fruit, sweetness, and fuel notes. The strain exhibits notably dense crystalline coverage, with some phenotypes displaying such abundant trichomes that they create a visual shimmer effect when fully mature. Certain phenotypes expressing stronger Blue Heron traits demonstrate particular suitability for outdoor cultivation while maintaining accelerated flowering times.
