Dark Helmet was developed through a selective breeding initiative designed to stabilize the distinctive characteristics and taste notes of the Forum phenotype of Girl Scout Cookies by repeatedly crossing the proprietary cultivar with a Jawa Pie male (itself a hybrid of Key Lime Pie and Alien Rift). Key Lime Pie, a genetic sibling and exclusive cut within the Girl Scout Cookies family, served as a foundational component in creating Jawa Pie's breeding stock.
