About Citrus
# Kannabia Citrus
Named for its striking visual transformation from lemon to orange hues, Kannabia Citrus displays a resinous exterior comparable to citrus fruit pulp. While maintaining fruity undertones, the taste profile leans toward candy-like sweetness, reflecting its Bubblegum heritage. This predominantly indica hybrid has earned widespread recognition across Europe—especially Spain, Portugal, and the UK—among seasoned cultivators. Its legendary reputation stems from exceptional resilience in challenging environments, including high-altitude regions, inherited from Hindu Kush genetics. The strain underwent multiple refinement phases through self-fertilization before being crossed with a Kush variety sourced from Iran after the original mother plant was lost.
The plant exhibits typical indica characteristics: compact growth and minimal lateral branching. It produces abundant resin and develops thick, tight flower clusters along its structure. The initial Citral flavor was somewhat overpowered by Kush's intensity, prompting a cross with our premium Bubblegum line. This resulted in a harmonious flavor blend reminiscent of tropical fruit beverages. The plant demonstrates excellent vigor, showing strong resistance to fungal and pest pressures while remaining beginner-friendly.
Lower branch development—a Bubblegum trait—generates substantial bud production; extended vegetative periods maximize this potential. Strategic topping encourages multiple primary colas, though a dominant main stem naturally develops. The plant accumulates significant trichome coverage, and the honey-like appearance of ripening buds—intensified by their golden coloration—echoes traditional charas production methods from Hindu Kush regions.
Indoor flowering requires approximately 60 days, though many plants finish within 53 days. Outdoor cultivation succeeds reliably, with harvests ready by late September. This high-performing variety yields over 500 grams per square meter indoors and exceeds 400 grams per plant outdoors, where spacing accommodates multi-square-meter canopy spread.
