Breeder Gerrit of Magus Genetics created this cultivar as an outdoor-focused option for growers in damp, chilly regions. Plants typically reach heights of approximately two meters during a standard outdoor growing season. The combination of its quick maturation window and strong resistance to fungal diseases makes it particularly well-suited for outdoor cultivation in the Netherlands and other cool northern environments. This forgiving strain is an excellent choice for beginners and less experienced cultivators. At lower temperatures, most plants develop striking red and purple hues. While Biddy Early performs admirably indoors as well, maintaining mother plants in vegetative growth proves challenging due to the strain's strong tendency toward early flowering. The flavor profile combines earthy undertones with sweet, candy-like notes, delivering a notably potent experience. At the 2003 High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, Biddy Early earned second place in the "Best Sativa" division—a remarkable achievement as the sole outdoor-grown entry competing among exclusively indoor-cultivated submissions.
